Some of the best sushi I’ve had for amazing value. Fish quality is better than the best conveyer belt sushi. Pacing is very fast. Also much cheaper than expensive conveyer belt sushi.

Little sushi restaurant just outside the station. English menu available. I recommend going early or you'll have to wait in line. The food is great, and for that quality, is absolutely not expensive, warmly recommended.

A friend recommended this place to me and I’m glad he did. Obviously Sendai is known for it’s sushi, and this place is definitely worth your time. They have several set options depending on how hungry you are, and I went with the Masamune. There were 12 pieces of nigiri, including prawn, uni, anago, and tuna. My favorite was the chutoro, but honestly everything was so fresh and delicious. Maybe 12 seats total, so you may need to wait. Friendly and fast service.

Surprisingly good sushi in the middle of a train station. Saw the queue had let up so, we jumped in and had a great time.

The best sushi I've ever had!. The experience of standing while eating sushi is incredible. Everything is very fresh. I had a difficulty understanding the menu, you can use the English menu or just point the board with your finger. Translate the board using google translate.

The line for this standing sushi place was quite long so we had to wait a bit. It was our first time trying fresh sushi in Sendai and it did not disappoint. Everything is so fresh and tasty with amazing texture (especially if you’re like me, used to cheap chewy takeaway sushi in the west). They do have a multilingual menu, and you can simply point what you want to order. There is no price tag on the multilingual menu though, so if you want to keep tack of what you’re paying for you’ll need to to either ask each time you order or use Google Translate camera. For reference I had 7 pieces of sushi (some basic, some premium) and costed me around 1,750 yen. The chef that served us was lively and skilled. Even asked us if we’re okay with wasabi and made sure we know soy sauce was already put on the sushi when given to us.

Walked in on 6/11 lunch time and had no wait despite it being standing sushi bar with roughly 10 spots. Fast service and excellent taste. Fairly priced. The sushi masters were friendly and offered an English menu to choose a la carte from.

The star of Sendai Station! Sure there's tons of Gyutan shops here but Senreizushi was one of the best sushi I've had in Japan so far. Small standing sushi bar, fits 8 people max. Service is fast and efficient. English menu available (but without the specialties). Order the anago (sea eel), Kani miso (crab brains) and maguro hoho (tuna cheeks) if they're available. Awesome stuff! Highly recommended!
